Year 12 Art Show 2018

The Year 12 Art Show celebrated the achievements of art students who graduated in the Murray region in 2018. The exhibition was co-hosted between three venues: Albury Library Museum, Arts Space Wodonga, & Murray Art Museum Albury.

It has been a popular annual exhibition that provided an important opportunity for the community to connect with the ideas, concerns and complex identities of young people. For the students involved, the exhibition was a chance to revisit their work outside the classroom and curriculum environment. For many it was the first time that their work was displayed publicly as an object of value, rather than the result of an assessment task.

This exhibition also applauded the dedication and commitment of our local Visual Arts teachers. For teachers and parents, it was not only a time to celebrate the achievements of each student but a chance to acknowledge their contribution in the immense emotional, practical and financial support given to a Year 12 student in the midst of creating a major artwork for the HSC & VCE.
