Join us for a weekend celebrating the artists, stories, and creative voices of our region. Held across the entire museum, this two-day program of performance, demonstrations, workshops, and conversations will connect visitors with exhibiting artists featured in the first season of nginha, you are here.
Saturday 7 June
Rocket Workshop with Marley Dawson
Saturday 7 June, 10.00am-11.30am
A workshop mixing art and science for children aged 6 – 12. Led by artist Marley Dawson, participants will design and decorate their own water-powered rocket ready for launching in QEII square. Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

Our Voices: Screening and Discussion
Saturday 7 June, 10.30am - 11.45am
A special screening of Our Voices, a three-part short film series celebrating Wiradjuri resilience, language revival, and deep connection to Country. Following the screening, there will be a conversation with the Elders and community members featured in the films.

The Cad Factory: Portraits

Sarah McEwan (The Cad Factory) will be collaborating with artists Layla Bacayo and Dave Nicholls to create portraits of Museum visitors, each using their own unique approach.

Drop in and draw with Beth Peters! Based within Peters' current exhibition, this floor-based activity invites people of all skill levels to share time and conversation with Peters whilst working on a collaborative artwork that will evolve over the weekend.

In this performative artist talk, Sarah and Vic McEwan journey through artist-run initiative The Cad Factory's evolution. From its early beginnings in the Sydney underground warehouse scene through its move to Regional NSW, Sarah and Vic discuss their 21 years of socially engaged art practice.

A professional development activity for artists and creatives, whether aspiring or established. Take a one-hour walk around Albury with Vic McEwan or Sarah McEwan of The Cad Factory. Discuss your creative practice, an idea you have, a problem, an ethical artistic dilemma, an artistic dream, or a new strategy.
