Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) was thrilled to announce that multi-award winning architects CHROFI hadbeen appointed to design this 2019's Summer Place project in QEII Square.

CHROFI are a Sydney based firm that ascended to the international stage with a multi-award winning construction in Times Square, New York, cited as that city’s ‘Building of the Decade’ and winning a swag of international architecture awards. CHROFI have continued to deliver innovative, award winning public, commercial, and private architecture projects across Australia. Most recently, the Maitland Riverlink project has been honoured at the World Architecture awards as well as multiple Australian-based awards.

MAMA was thrilled to be partnering with CHROFI for the delivery of an exciting new project in QEII Square, Albury.

Summer Place was an annual project that aims to engage the community in experimental architecture, share the positive impacts of innovative design, and attract seasonal visitors to the heart of the city. The inaugural 2018 project, Plastic Palace by Raffaello Rosselli, attracted over 30,000 visitors. 2019's project was an integral attraction of the Summer tourism season as well as a key feature of next year’s Upstream arts & cultural festival.

We looked forward to the creativity, thoughtfulness, and international prestige that CHROFI, led by architect Joshua Zoeller, brought to Summer Place in 2019.
