Kids Workshop: Acrylic Painting

Get expressive with colour in this calm and relaxing workshop for kids.

In this creative painting workshop children will create their own artwork using acrylic paint, whilst learning skills in colour mixing, composition and self expression.

This workshop is for primary school-aged children, run by our experienced tutors.

Workshop Outline

The session will start with a warmup activity to help students feel comfortable and tap into their creative focus.

Students will then be invited to explore the use of colour for expressing feelings and emotions mixing and blending colours with a colour mixing activity.

Finally, students will create their own acrylic painting on canvas using their own colour language and new blending skills with the guidance of their tutor to help them with composition.

They will have the space to explore acrylic paint as a medium for expression while having the technical support and experience of our tutor.

Participants should have completed at least one year of schooling (Kindergarten/Foundation or equivalent).
