RAW23 was part of an annual open call for young people, showcasing the best original artworks being produced by young people of the Murray region. This year’s exhibition featured 10 artists, and highlighted the unique perspectives and experiences of our local young people.

Selected artists have submitted their work independently with a range of mediums including photomedia, digital art, watercolours, drawing, acrylic paint and assemblages that featured in the exhibition.

An important aspect of the opportunity for participating young artists was a series of professional development tutorials by MAMA curatorial staff that covered aspects of concept development, artwork preparation, and exhibition installation as well as feedback for future projects.

Featuring artists: Angelina Barker, Toby Robinson, Lilly Cranston, Marlo Gaukroger, Jack Bergin, Ashlee Smith, Tegan Gibbons, Elias Waldegrave-Knight, Clio Waldegrave-Knight, Alannah Barnes.

Applications for the RAW program are open all year round and successful applicants are reviewed and chosen in September each year.
