Photo Editing
Learn the language of image editing and photo manipulation and get creative to get the most out of your images.
Course Outcomes
Over eight weeks, you’ll be provided with exercise files and training to learn:
- Basic image adjustments: colour correction, sharpening, cropping and removing distractions.
- Image organisation: How to keep your images safe, organised and easy to find.
- How to best prep your files for printing and sharing online.
- Problem solving image imperfections.
- Creative ways to use tools like Photoshop to make digital art.

What to bring
Students are required to bring a tablet or laptop computer, charger and extension cord.
Before attending the course please research the type of editing software that you would like to learn how to use. It’s recommended that you have Photoshop, Lightroom, or Bridge/Camera Raw, but we can help with other software.
It is best to have it downloaded and installed on your computer before we start as internet at MAMA can be limited in group settings, however, we can do our best to help.

- Capture One
We will also look at the editing software by camera makers Nikon, Canon, Olympus/OM System, Panasonic, Fujifilm and Sony.
Meet the Tutor: Ben Eyles
Ben Eyles is an Albury-based teacher, photographer and technical trainer with decades of experience.
He taught the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging and Certificate IV of Photography and Photo Imaging at Wodonga TAFE from 2014 to 2019. Prior to this, Ben worked as a staff photographer at the Border Mail where he was twice awarded the Best News Photograph of the Year.
