Artist Talk: Mary-Rose Riley
Join us for a roving floor talk led by North East Victorian artist Mary-Rose Riley that introduces us to her current solo exhibition, Look Left. A departure from her longstanding practice featuring painting and observational drawing, Look Left is an installation of textile sculpture and wall-based works.
Riley has been guided by process – deriving comfort from acts of repetition and slowness, and a joyful embrace of the unexpected in found and discarded materials.
What to expect: this talk will be held within Mary-Rose Riley’s exhibition on Level 2. The format will be ‘roving’ and standing, with museum pause stools available.
