Flying Fruit Fly Circus graduates will take over MAMA's foyer and turn it into a Stunt Lounge

Stunt Lounge brings to the stage five of the most dynamic and talented new circus performers in Australia. Recently graduated from the world-famous Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Stunt Lounge is their first original work as professional artists.

Stunt Lounge comes to MAMA following sell-out performances at the Sydney Opera House, opening the 30th Melbourne International Comedy Festival at the Arts Centre and will next head overseas.

Under the mentorship of Flying Fruit Fly Circus Artistic Director Jodie Farrugia, the five young artists have created a versatile contemporary circus work, co-created and directed by exciting emerging director Darcy Grant.

Following eight years as a student at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, studying under Chinese and Russian masters, Darcy Grant was a founding member of Circa - now widely revered as one of the world's most successful and genre defying circuses.

The Flying Fruit Fly Circus is Australia's National Youth Circus and has introduced over 30,000 young people to the circus arts through training programs and workshops.

Many graduating artists go on to join leading circus and performing arts companies, including Circus Oz, Cirque du Soleil, Circa and many others.
