MAMA Sketch Club
When: First Monday of the Month, 11.00am - 12.00pm
Sketch Club is a monthly meet-up for drawing enthusiasts of all skill levels to come together and connect creatively within the gallery spaces.
Sketch your response to an artwork, study an artist’s technique, illustrate an architectural detail, or just enjoy honing your general drawing skills among creative company. We will offer a brief introduction to the exhibition and share relevant drawing approaches for context and consideration, before commencing a 45-min sketching session within the space.
Sketching is good for you!
The positive psychological impacts of drawing and sketching (even doodling) are widely known, being shown to improve analytic and problem solving abilities, reduce stress, enhance mood, improve your communication range and boost self-esteem. If you are curious about drawing and are yet to try it for yourself, or struggle to make time to draw in your spare time, then this is the perfect introduction and encouragement!
A small seat will be provided for each participant for the session.
BYO your own sketchbook/paper and pencils/pens – please avoid any messy materials such as charcoal or oil and chalk pastel.
Free event, please register your attendance for each session.
