Artist Talk with Trevor Keith Orford

Join us for a talk with local artist Trevor Keith Orford – creator of the wondrous wardrobe-turned whimsical vista, Mr Turner’s Balcony. Constructed from collected materials from Wangaratta to Chiltern and Myrtleford, Mr Turner’s Balcony is a tribute to Orford’s masterful woodworking skills, and his drive to create a transformative spatial experience for audiences to discover.
Trevor Keith Orford was born in Albury and has pursued a substantial career in cabinet and joinery making. After travelling extensively overseas, he has always returned to the workshops of Albury and North East Victoria. Over the years, he has been involved in set and prop production for film and theatre at a local and national level. Orford played a pivotal role in the community driven Albury Wodonga Bicentennial Project building the paddlesteamer Cumberoona and has been designing and making commissioned furniture pieces using materials such as quality recycled timber in collaboration with local artisans and friends.
