Year 12 Art Show 2018
When: 13 December - 3 February
Where: MAMA, 546 Dean Street, Albury
The Year 12 Art Show celebrates the achievements of graduating art students in the Murray region. This year, the exhibition will be co-hosted between three venues: Albury LibraryMuseum, Arts Space Wodonga, & Murray Art Museum Albury.
This popular annual exhibition provides an important opportunity for the community to connect with the ideas, concerns and complex identities of young people.
For the students involved, the exhibition is a chance to revisit their work outside the classroom and curriculum environment. For many it will be the first time that their work is displayed publicly as an object of value, rather than the result of an assessment task.
The vibrant and diverse artworks were drawn from:
- Albury High School
- Catholic College Wodonga
- James Fallon High School
- Murray High School
- Scots School Albury
- Victory Lutheran College
- Wodonga Senior Secondary College
- Xavier High School
- Beechworth Secondary College
- Tallangatta Secondary College
- Mt Beauty High School
- Trinity Anglican College
This exhibition also applauds the dedication and commitment of our local Visual Arts Teachers. For teachers and parents it is not only a time to celebrate the achievements of each student but a chance to acknowledge their contribution in the immense emotional, practical and financial support given to a Year 12 student in the midst of creating a major artwork for the HSC & VCE.
