Winter is upon us.
The weeks are long and damp (and oh so cold)...
What you need is a little mid-week warmer at our Winter Bar!
From the start of June to end of August, we're hosting live music, art talks, exhibition openings, wine tastings and more each and every Thursday night from 5.30pm- 7.00pm.
9 AUGUST // MUSIC + SPICED CIDER
Murray Conservatorium Albury presents Rhys McKee, performing keys live from the museum. Warm spiced Alpine Cider will be available at the bar along with a selection of local beers and wines.
16 AUGUST // MUSIC + ARTIST TALK
This evening we will enjoy live music and an artist talk with artist Cornélia Selover in conversation with curator Michael Moran (6.00pm - 6.30pm). Murray Conservatorium Albury presents Ruth Little, performing keys live from the museum. Warm spiced Alpine Cider will be brewing as we enter the home straight of the cold winter.
23 AUGUST // LEON DE MONTIGNIE
Join us for the opening of a new exhibition Leon deMontignie: The Life and Death of an Unknown Artist
Both gritty and soulful, Leon deMontignie's paintings depict scenes of suburbia, country towns, parks, loneliness, alcoholism, homelessness, and despair. Having spent much of his life in the Albury region, the paintings are familiar, and surreal at the same time. Rutherglen Estates wines will be served at the Winter Bar.
30 AUGUST // MUSIC + FINALE
Murray Conservatorium Albury presents local legends, the SOQ Jazz Trio, featuring sax, bass, and drums playing original Australian Jazz ballards live within the Museum.
Bye bye Winter!
