Members of MAMA (moMAMA) will host the first social event at MAMA before it officially opens - and you're invited.

Formerly known as the Friends of the Albury Regional Art Gallery, moMAMA will hold a cocktail party on Tuesday 29 September 2015 from 6.00pm-7.30pm.

moMAMA Chair Jacinta Mirams said the cocktail party was a members-only ticketed event and that presented a great reason to join the group.

"moMAMA is extremely active and has more than 330 members but we'd welcome a lot more," Ms Mirams said.

"We've been working hard to raise funds for MAMA and have pledged $50,000 to MAMA over three years towards the collection and conservation suites and the purchase art works."

"Now that we have a first-class venue with exciting exhibitions, we have an opportunity to offer more events, programmes and workshops for our members."

The cocktail party is to be held in celebration of MAMA, which will open on Friday 2 October.
