Susan Moorhead Memorial Award
The Susan Moorhead Memorial Award was established in memory of artist Susan Moorhead, 1947–1990, and honours her commitment to art and her delight in the achievements and humanity of others.
During her short but distinguished professional life Susan was an exhibiting artist, designer, sculptor, master craftsperson and teacher of art.
The Susan Moorhead Memorial Award, a biennial award administered by MoMAMA (Members of MAMA), assists emerging artists working in any of the visual arts to develop and realise their career goals. Recipients must live within 100km of Albury Wodonga.
For the purposes of the award an emerging artist is someone of any age who is not represented by a commercial dealer, whose work is not their primary source of income and who considers themself an emerging artist.
Award recipients receive a $2000 cash prize and a solo exhibition at MAMA, supported by an exhibition catalogue, within 18 months
