Where: Studio within Commonwealth Growth Centre, MAMA

Price: $190 ($171 moMAMA / Concession), $100 materials package (optional)

For students that have a strong grasp of foundation skills in watercolour painting, this course will build and refine your techniques as tutor Robyn White takes you beyond basics, including:

  • Achieving good composition and unity
  • Embracing dark and shade
  • Introduction to watercolour on non-traditional surfaces
  • Use of mediums to achieve different effects
  • Loosening up and becoming more fluid in your movements

Working with each student individually, Robyn will help you identify areas of strengths and weakness, and work with you to help develop your artistic voice in this medium.

This course builds on the skills gained in the foundation Watercolours course. If you are unsure about your skill level for this course, or would like to be put on a waiting list for an alternative time, please contact us.

Meet Robyn White

"Life is frittered away with detail…simplify, simplify" Henry David Thoreau

Robyn White is a local artist and experienced tutor, and although having worked in all mediums, loves the challenge and unpredictability of watercolour. With just over 20 years experience painting and over 10 years teaching the medium, it is no wonder she is a popular and sought after tutor.

Robyn has written articles for the Australian Artist Magazine, concentrating on simplifying subject matter to achieve better composition. She has exhibited and sold many of her works, both nationally and internationally.

Robyn recently opened her own Studio/Gallery, "324 The Studio" at 324 Beechworth Road, Wodonga.
