Kids's Workshop: Weaving with Treahna Hamm

Where: Workshop within the Commonwealth Growth Centre, MAMA
Children will enjoy learning the basics of traditional Aboriginal weaving under the guidance of Yorta Yorta artist Treahna Hamm.
Practice several key techniques to build several weaving projects to take home.

Meet the Artist
Treahna Hamm is a Yorta Yorta possum skin cloak maker, printmaker, sculptor, weaver, and painter. Treahna’s work is held in a number of international, national, state and university collections including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Museum of Australia, Koorie Heritage Trust, Print Council of Australia, National Museum of Ethnology in Japan, and Queensland University of Technology.
